Guten morgen!
I totally forgot to let you all know what I did the other day....I made a facebook fan page! Roohoo!
It felt so weird at first making one because I didn't want to be that person who has a fan page.... asking people to like a page about myself felt unnecessarily narcissistic. But apparently that would be the cool kid thing to do these days in the writing world. So go check it out, give it a like, and share it 'round and 'round!
On a different note, I am still in the (hopefully final) editing phase once more and am hoping to get some word back on The Towers sometime in the next four weeks whilst I continue on with Lost in the Middle of Somewhere.
Peace, Love, and Reading!

Throw Back
Ahoy!
Still happily chugging along on Lost in the Middle of Somewhere at the moment.
But writing Jess's flashback to the 1970s got me thinking that I really want to do a whole period piece set somewhere in the past.
How cool would a 1920s Werewolf novel be? How about an 1850s ghost?
What's your favorite decade? I can't really choose. SO MANY CHOICES.
Happy Friday, everyone. Keep on keepin' on ;)

edit, edit, edit, repeat....
So after a few months of waiting, The Towers is now heading into editing with the publishers!
Hoorayyyyyy
So is this the part when I start getting fan mail and fan fiction and fan made movie trailers and buzzfeed posts called "25 amazing tattoos inspired by The Towers"?
One can only hope.....
I want to be humble and all... but c'mon, that would be pretty baller, right?
Anywho, I'm told that the editing phase goes by pretty quickly and I'll find myself going into print in no time at all :D
In the meantime, I've been writing like a madwoman on Lost in the Middle of Somewhere. That one is shaping up pretty nicely right now and is partially up on figment if you want to get a little taste of it.
Have a good night everyone!

On Pinterest!
Ahoy there!
So I've been moseying around the pinterest land for quite a while now. Until yesterday, all I did was waste time pinning cute clothes, cool DIY projects that I (lets face it) would never do, and probably ineffective life hacks.
AND THEN...!
I started a new board that was a little more productive called "writing" (duh.)
This one is pretty cool because it includes all kinds of inspirations for characters, places, houses, cars, clothes, hobbies...all of it!
Some of the notes are rather confusing (because nothing would ever be a surprise for you if they were understandable) but you will be able to get a glance at some of my brainstorming and musings for some of my works in progress.
checkity check it out!

Also,
For those of you wondering, The Towers is still hanging out on the editing room floor at the publishers waiting patiently for someone to come along and give it some love.
I know, I am totally anxious and sweating bullets here myself waiting for it to pick back up again.
Soon, my lovelies!!!!

Song of Blue Winter
Hey there!
I've started working on a new screenplay yesterday that I'm super stoked about. Its way different than anything else I've ever written--certainly out of the norm for me. I'm not sure if I want to actually go out and produce it on my own in the near future, but we'll see how it turns out!
Also, I've been trucking away at my new novel Lost in the Middle of Somewhere. Still only sitting around 27,000 words, but it is on the way!
I've got all kinds of fun projects underway right now, and I'm super stoked about all of them!
Have a good week!!!

Praises
Praises for The Towers
"I must say that this is one of the best books I have read in a long time. The story takes place post-disaster in futuristic New York, which is never blatantly put but suggested based scenery such as the barely-visible head of the Statue of Liberty. Berger did a fantastic job creating relatable, believable characters. Spade was kind a catch. I must say that Stratus and his sarcastic nature was really what drew in the story, though. Berger successfully created a dystopian world based around the concept of brands. I found this story to be highly compelling, and I have no doubt that you will, too."

"Natalie Berger's first foray into the published world is absolutely one of the best dystopian novels I've read in a long time. She captures life - and death - in "The Towers" in stunning detail. I felt like I was right there with Spade, the protagonist, in her quest. Life seems perfect...but a little too perfect, and when Spade starts to question it, her life simultaneously falls apart and begins.
It starts out slightly confusing at first. The inhabitants of The Towers have a language all their own, but I found it easy to pick up. Soon, it felt like I was on a roller coaster of emotion: love, hate, friendship, fear, jealousy...you name it! My only complaint was that I wanted MORE once I'd finished.
If this was her first book, I see big things happening for her."
-Mary Lynne Gibbs, Author of Jericho Rising and Jericho's Redemption
Getting published!
Well hello!
It's been quite a while, hasn't it?
Well all the waiting has paid off because I, Natalie Berger, am getting published!

Last week my manuscript for The Towers was accepted by World Castle Publishing, a small publishing company of ebooks and paperback.
I am so incredibly excited for this amazing opportunity and I cannot wait to share my novel with the world. Thank you to everyone who has believe in me and put up with my writing antics over the years! I love you all!
